AfriKin Foundation has spent a decade proving its relevance. The AfriKin Art Fair has run every year during Miami Art Week since 2015. Our 2026 exhibition, Art and the Beautiful Game, was covered by the Associated Press and Al Jazeera English. Our governance now includes an eleven-member board with four independent directors, and in 2025 the Arts and Business Council of Miami recognized AfriKin with its Arts and Social Impact Award.

We are raising $300,000 to convert that record into permanence: a capital campaign to secure Maison AfriKin, our gallery and cultural home in North Miami, and fund our flagship annual programming.

Miami has no shortage of art fairs. It has very few permanent institutions built specifically for African and diaspora art, scholarship, and cultural exchange. AfriKin operates as a curatorial platform at the intersection of art, academia, and industry, and that work depends on infrastructure that survives any single event, founder, or funding cycle. A permanent home gives our artists continuity instead of a one-time booking, lets a decade of press coverage and civic recognition accumulate around something lasting, and positions Miami as a year-round crossroads for Global Africa rather than a seasonal stop on the art fair calendar.

Your contribution funds an institution, not a single event. It goes toward three things:

Securing the Home. Capital investment in Maison AfriKin, so it operates as a permanent institution rather than a seasonal venue.

Funding the Season. Direct support for our flagship annual programs: the AfriKin Art Fair, African Fashion Week Miami, Art, Jazz & Champagne, and Taste of AfriKin.

Building the Institution. Governance, artist development, and the operational infrastructure that let AfriKin outlast any single exhibition.

AfriKin Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. EIN 85-2592611. All contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
