The children of Afghanistan need support now more than ever. In January 2026, we had the opportunity to travel back to Afghanistan and personally distribute food, clothing, and supplies to orphaned children in a village outside of Kabul. It was an incredibly meaningful experience, but it also made clear how many more children and families still need support.

Through this fundraiser, we hope to continue these efforts and expand them. Because we have direct access to communities on the ground, we're able to oversee how donations are used and ensure that support reaches the people who need it most; 100% of the funds raised (after GoFundMe processing fees) will go directly towards individuals in need.

Hi! We're Hassib and Zamzama, Afghan-Americans, a consultant and a lawyer, who were fortunate to grow up with access to education, stability, and opportunity. Because of that privilege, we feel a deep responsibility to give back to Afghan children who have not been afforded the same circumstances.

How donations will be used:

To ensure transparency and responsible use of funds, any cash donations will be handed directly to individuals or families in need or will be used, just as they were during our previous visit, to purchase and distribute essential supplies based on the most urgent needs at the time. This may include items such as:

• warm clothing (jackets, socks, blankets)

• food supplies

• school materials like notebooks and pencils

• toys for children

• support for basic infrastructure needs such as wells or electricity in villages

The exact items may vary depending on current conditions and what communities need most in that moment.
