She is currently detained and facing complicated immigration & legal circumstances. To ensure she has a fair chance, we are raising funds to secure a lawyer on retainer and obtain her bond. This is not an easy fight, but it is the right fight. Currently, the initial legal fees sit around $7,500 which will help secure her release on bond, and begin the legal fight for her asylum. Of course the costs will go beyond this, but it’s a start to pay the retainer. This fund will also help pay for that bond, when posted.

When asked what she looks forward to most when she is free, her answer was simple:

“I just want to get back to work, and I really want a pizza.”
