**Join Our Ride: Support the Adaptive Women's Biker Gang**
**A Message from Our Founder, Amanda**
In 1991, a distracted driver ended my athletic dreams—or so I thought. I sustained a C5-C6 spinal cord injury, but my journey as an athlete was just beginning. For over 30 years, I've channeled my competitive spirit into recovery and discovered the joy of adaptive biking. Thanks to Craig Hospital's programs, I found my passion and a new community of women eager to hit the trails.
But we face a challenge: access to adaptive bikes. These bikes can cost up to $12,000 each. How many beers at $4.00 would it take to cover this cost? About 3,000!
**Why It Matters**
One in eight people worldwide lives with a physical disability. Whether born with a disability or acquiring one later in life, finding freedom and mobility through sport is transformative. Being disabled can be expensive, with many facing limited incomes and high medical costs. By supporting our gang, you’re helping create an inclusive community where everyone has access to well-being and the great outdoors.
**Join Our Mission**
We’re building the Adaptive Women's Biker Gang with amazing peers like Rebecca (co-founder), but we need your help. With limited bikes, we’re turning to you. Our present goal is to raise money for two bikes. Your donation can help empower more women to experience the freedom of movement and the joy of the outdoors. Your support means everything!
With gratitude,
Amanda
