This upcoming spring of 2026, I have been given the incredible opportunity to travel to the Dominican Republic on a medical mission trip with Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing, where I will also be graduating with my MSN. Alongside a team of healthcare professionals and fellow students, I will be serving communities that have very limited access to basic medical care.

This is not a vacation—it is a calling. I feel deeply moved to live out my faith by serving others in a place where healthcare is not guaranteed, and where many families go without the most basic resources. As both a nurse and an MSN nursing student, I feel called to use my skills to provide care, comfort, and health education to people who otherwise might not be reached.

The total cost of this trip is about $2,000, which includes airfare, lodging, and pre-trip medications required for malaria prophylaxis. I have set a hefty goal of $2,500 to hopefully take many over the counter medications with me to provide to families without access to this simple resource. While I am committed to saving and contributing as much as I can, I cannot do this alone. I am humbly asking for your support to help make this mission possible. Your generosity will not only help cover the expenses of the trip, but it will also provide the resources and supplies needed to directly impact patients and families in need.
