Hi, my name is Aaron Ferris, and I’ve been given an incredible opportunity to take part in an eight-day volunteering trip to Kenya this October with Projects Abroad, organised through De La Salle College, Dundalk.

What’s the Purpose of the Trip?

From Saturday 25th October to Monday 3rd November 2025, I’ll be working alongside other students on community-focused projects that support local families, schools, and children in Kenya. This programme is designed to help us make a meaningful impact while learning about a new culture and environment.

This is not a holiday — it’s a structured and supervised programme where we’ll be contributing to ongoing initiatives that rely on volunteer support.

What’s Involved?

• Working with local communities on education and development projects

• Learning about Kenyan culture and daily life

• Participating in group activities and cultural exchanges

• Staying in safe, vetted accommodation with full support from Projects Abroad

Fundraising Goal

To take part, I need to raise just over €3,000, which covers:

• Programme costs

• Flights

• Visa, vaccinations, and travel essentials

All donations will go directly toward covering these costs so I can take part in this life-changing experience.
