Since 2019, I’ve been doing this work through Village Against Violence. Showing up for families, mentoring youth, and creating programs to keep kids safe.
Now we finally have a space to turn into a community resource and youth center.
A place where youth can come for:
Free tutoring
Workforce development
Food and basic needs
Diapers for young moms
Stop the Bleed training
Narcan kits and fentanyl prevention
Mentorship and positive activities
We’ll also continue our Hair We Go program, teaching youth braiding, barbering, and entrepreneurship skills in a hands-on, positive environment.
There’s a lot going on in our city. Our youth need somewhere to go before something happens.
The space is secured, but right now it’s empty.
We need help with:
Tables and chairs
Furniture
Security cameras
Refrigerator
Program supplies
We are committed to keeping everything free or low cost, but we need the community to help us get started.
If you believe in protecting our youth and creating real change, please donate or share.
No amount is too small.
