“They ask you (O Prophet) what they should spend (in charity). Say, ‘Whatever you spend of good must be for parents and relatives, orphans, the needy, and the traveler. And whatever you do of good—indeed, Allah is Knowing of it.’” (Qur’an 2:215)

A young family in our own community has suffered an unimaginable loss—their beloved mother has returned to Allah, leaving behind her children without the warmth, comfort, and security that only a mother provides. With the youngest being just 12 years old. Now, they face not only the pain of grief but also the burden of financial hardship.

This is our chance to be their family—to stand by them as our Prophet ﷺ taught us:

‘Whoever brought his (Muslim) brother out of a discomfort, Allah will bring him out of the discomforts of the Day of Resurrection.’ (Bukhari)

Right now, these siblings need our help. They need stability, support, and the reassurance that they are not alone. This is where we come in.
