My name is Jacob and my father is a Vietnam vet that has recently been diagnosed with dementia.

We live in the panhandle of Florida and it is already getting into the 90's, and their 30+ year old air conditioner has bit the dust. We have babied it with R-22 Freon over the past few years and it has gotten them by. I recently had R-22 that runs about $200 a pound where we are, and it lasted two days and it's back to 80 degrees in the house. We are putting a couple window units in to try and combat the heat as much as possible. I have received a quote for just under $6000 to replace the inside and outside unit. I am not normally one to ask for much, but my credit from a business failing and obligations to my outstanding bills are keeping me from being able to afford anything quickly. I am asking for help for my parents in their time of need. I would gladly pay every person back who sends money if I need to. My parents took care of me for 18 years and it's the least I can do to try and help them any way I can, even if it is using a platform such as this.
