My name is Alex, and I’m raising funds to help my father, a U.S. Army veteran who has always put family and community first. He and my mom have spent their whole lives giving to others and doing the right thing, even when it was hard.

My father currently has full guardianship of my sister’s first child, whom he has raised since birth. Because he is on SSDI and living on a very limited income, he has already taken on a huge responsibility with love and without hesitation.

Now, my sister’s second child also needs a stable home. Due to personal issues, she is unable to care for her children, and my father is stepping up once again so these two siblings can stay together and grow up in one loving family. (My father has three grandchildren total one is already in his care, one he is trying to adopt, and the third grandchild from my other sister is being raised safely and lovingly by her.)

We are trying to raise money for my father to travel from Minnesota to Arizona to start the adoption process for my nephew. Between the travel costs and the responsibilities that come afterward, the financial burden is overwhelming for him to carry on his own.
