This is for My Uncle, please spread the word and donate if you can. Thank you everyone who is willing to help us in this difficult situation and time.
71-year-old veteran in our community is facing something no one—especially someone who has served our country...should ever have to go through.
After experiencing homelessness for over a year and a half, he finally found stability and a place to call home in a senior community. For the past two years, he has been a model resident...rent always paid ahead of time, respectful, and never a problem. He shares his life with his loyal service dog, who depends on him just as much as he depends on that companionship.
Recently, a small kitchen fire occurred in his apartment. Thankfully, no one was hurt, and the only damage was to a microwave. But despite this, he has now been given just 7 days to vacate his home.
Seven days.
This is a man who served our country. A man who fought to rebuild his life after hardship. And now, he is at risk of losing everything all over again.
In times like these, community matters. Compassion matters. Doing the right thing matters.
We are asking for your help...whether it’s spreading the word, offering resources, advocating on his behalf, or helping him find a safe place to stay. Let’s come together and show this veteran that he is not alone, that his service is not forgotten, and that we will not allow him to fall through the cracks.
Please help us stand up for him. Let’s make sure he doesn’t have to face homelessness again.
Thank you ❤️
