We have no idea where I caught this disease. Being a single provider for a wife and five kids, I got around. This disease has completely shut down my life, leaving me unable to breathe at the moment. It has also completely destroyed my family’s life as it chips away at everything we’ve built, and I fear for them the most.

My disease is called Granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA), formerly known as Wegener's granulomatosis. It is a rare autoimmune disorder that causes inflammation in blood vessels.

Symptoms

GPA can cause a range of symptoms, including: Frequent sinusitis and nose issues, fever, fatigue, and weight loss, coughing up blood, chest pain and shortness of breath, eye inflammation, pain, or vision problems, ear inflammation and hearing problems, joint pain, skin sores, rashes, or bruising, blood in the urine. Which I’ve experienced all.

At the moment, there is no cure for this disease, so we are solely following and focused on GOD right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was informed yesterday that they believe the auto immune disease had been suppressed and that I was being added to a kidney transplant list, so there is a light at the end of this tunnel.
