Supporting our Toads: A Tubman ES Community Call to Action

At Tubman Elementary, we pride ourselves on being more than just a school—we are a tight-knit community, that cares for each other deeply. Today, one of our own families is facing an incredibly difficult transition. Due to the current climate of immigration enforcement, a beloved family of five in our community has made the heartbreaking decision to self-deport to ensure their safety and keep their family together.

The Need

Leaving a life, a home, and a school community behind on short notice is an immense emotional and financial burden. As they prepare for this forced transition, they are facing significant immediate expenses that no family should have to carry alone.

We are reaching out to the Tubman Elementary family and the greater community to help cover:

Travel Costs: Airfare and transportation for all five family members.

Legal Fees: Specialized legal support to navigate their departure and protect their rights.

Relocation Essentials: Helping them establish a modest foundation as they arrive in a new country.
