Support a Sunshine Coast Family in Need

Hi I am Kat and we are raising money to help and support to family in need from Sunshine Coast.

This little brave little fighter, born with 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome (DiGeorge Syndrome), which affects his heart, lungs, and development. His journey has been incredibly challenging, with two open-heart surgeries before turning two. Despite these efforts, he was diagnosed as palliative, meaning his heart and lungs are fragile, and he now relies on home oxygen to sustain normal levels.

At 8 years old, this little legend faces Pulmonary Hypertension, Global Developmental Delay, and ASD 3, yet his spirit remains unbroken. His days are filled with numerous medications and medical procedures, which he handles with remarkable resilience and humor. His witty personality brings joy to everyone around him.

His condition severely limits his mobility and physical activity. Even walking 15 meters can cause his oxygen levels to drop and induce vomiting due to the strain on his heart and lungs. He has never experienced playing on a playground or running in a park. School is also a challenge, with him attending only two hours a day to avoid exhaustion and the risks posed by common illnesses.

We are raising funds for a medical bed to make this boy more comfortable at home. This special bed will significantly improve his quality of life, providing the support and comfort he needs.

His family has also fostered five other children, raising them alongside their own two children as if they were their own. They are incredible, caring parents who have welcomed over 50 young kids into their home through fostering and care.

We at Fit Kat Bootcamp , along with amazing local businesses Suncoast Mechanical and Challenge Accepted and many more amazing local businesses, are coming together to raise funds with an incredible auction and over $5000 in prizes. Join us on 9.8 at 12 o’clock at 34-38 Price Street, Nambour, for a great lineup of activities for adults and kids, including face painting, kids and adults workouts from Bootcamp, boxing, yoga, and Pilates, as well as a Nerf gun battle and laser tag for kids.
