Dear Friends and Community,

This is an urgent mutual aid request for a community member, Reina De La Luz. She is a kind, gifted, and giving spiritual seeker, student, and teacher. She needs support to build a safe and healthy life in order to thrive and use her healing gifts.

Reina is actively looking for sustainable work in education and non-profits. She needs support for the following:

Emergency housing & moving costs

Emergency car repairs and transportation

Surgery and care for her ESA dog Luca

Medical costs for treatment of chronic illness

Tech: phone bills and a computer for remote work/job searching

Groceries and food

Here is more about Reina and Luca's situation in her own words:

Luca came into my life during breast cancer treatment, after the two surgeries and right before radiation treatment. He has been with me through those multiple surgeries and subsequent homelessness. He has kept me alive. He has a very sweet temperament, loves people, and enjoys playing with other dogs.

We have been homeless since March 2023. My goal is to live simply, upholding my values to be good to the earth and serve those who are oppressed. I need the stability of a home to do that. I am looking for work that will allow me to take care of myself.
