Support a Single Father's Fight for Stability

Hi friends and kind-hearted supporters,

I’m reaching out on behalf of someone very dear to me, who became a brother to me during one of the darkest/hardest moments in my life in Sosua, Puerto Plata, DR. He is a hardworking single father in the Dominican Republic who is doing everything he can to raise his three teenage children with love, dignity, and hope for a better future.

He is a man of deep pride and quiet strength, and he has no idea I’m creating this page for him. Like many parents, he puts his children first—day after day, he works tirelessly to provide what he can, even when the odds are stacked against him.

Right now, he is facing serious financial hardship.

He’s behind on rent and at risk of losing the modest home he and his kids recently moved into.

They live without basic appliances—there’s no working refrigerator, no fans to cool off in the island heat, and no washing machine to help with the daily needs of a family of four.

His daughter has taken the mother role of taking care of her brothers while her dad is at work. She is graduating soon, a moment of pride and joy for any parent, but he is struggling even to afford the simplest celebration. She deserves to be celebrated for her achievements.

Despite all of this, he never complains. He keeps going, quietly and humbly, doing the best he can. Since he doesn’t know about the campaign yet, sharing his picture without consent could feel like a violation of his privacy or pride, especially knowing how proud he is. Once I’ve raised some funds, I will let him know and ask if he’s okay with adding a photo to strengthen the campaign’s visibility.

My goal is to raise $5,000 USD to help him:

1. Pay back rent and secure a better, safer home for his family

2. Purchase essential household items like a fridge, fans, and a washing machine

3. Support his daughter’s graduation and his son's school needs

4. Give him a cushion of relief as he continues to work and support his children on his own

Every dollar will go directly to this family and be used to restore comfort, dignity, and stability in their lives. If you’ve ever known the power of a helping hand during a hard time, I ask you to consider being that for this incredible father and his kids.
