I recently met a family with six children who are currently staying in a shelter. I was there with my small church group to deliver dinner for everyone, and after the meal, I spent some time playing games with the kids. They were so sweet and full of energy, but I learned that they are facing some tough challenges right now. The children mentioned that they needed lunch boxes and water bottles, and it struck me how important these small things can be when you don’t have a home of your own.
I want to help by buying the specific lunch boxes the kids requested and Owalla water bottles, because I know how much it would mean to them. I also hope to put together a little gift basket and a store gift card for their mother, who is doing her best to care for her family in a difficult situation. In addition, I would love to update the playroom at the shelter by adding shelving for the books and making the decor more cheerful for all the children who spend time there. I will keep everyone updated about what is allowed and make sure the family's needs come first.
If you are able, please consider supporting this fundraiser. Your generosity will help bring comfort and joy to this family and show them that they are not alone. Thank you for any help you can give.
