Japan Seattle ABC Network (ABCJS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to strengthening the bridge between Seattle and Japan by fostering meaningful connections across culture, community, academics, and business. Our mission is to create welcoming spaces where residents, visitors, students, and lifelong learners can meet, learn from one another, and build relationships that enrich both the Seattle and Japanese communities.
We host regular language exchange events, cultural gatherings, and community meetups that bring people together in a relaxed and supportive environment. These activities help participants build confidence, practice communication skills, and experience everyday culture through genuine human connection.
ABCJS also collaborates with local businesses, schools, and nonprofits to create opportunities for cross-cultural learning and professional growth. Through seminars, workshops, and community partnerships, we empower students, professionals, and creatives to discover new perspectives and connect across borders.
As part of our broader mission, we offer an enrichment program for Japanese exchange students visiting Seattle. This includes company visits, cultural and language exchange, workshops with local partners, and visits to historically and culturally significant places. These experiences help students gain confidence, understand cultural differences, and build meaningful relationships with the Seattle community.

Japan Seattle ABC Network（ABCJS）は、シアトルと日本をつなぐ架け橋として、文化・コミュニティ・学術・ビジネスの分野で意義ある交流を育むことを目的とした米国の非営利団体（501(c)(3)）です。私たちの使命は、シアトル在住者、日本にゆかりのある人々、訪問者、学生、そして生涯学習者が互いに出会い、学び合い、つながりを深められる「温かく開かれた場」をつくることです。
ABCJSでは、言語交換イベントや文化交流会、コミュニティミートアップを定期的に開催し、リラックスした雰囲気の中で自然な交流が生まれる環境を提供しています。参加者は、英語や日本語の実践だけでなく、日常文化に触れながら自信を育み、異文化理解を深めていきます。
また、地元企業、学校、非営利団体との連携を通じて、異文化学習や専門的な成長の機会も創出しています。セミナーやワークショップ、共同プロジェクトなどを通じて、学生や社会人、クリエイターが新しい視点を得て、国境を越えてつながる力を育むことを支援しています。
その一環として、シアトルを訪れる日本の交換留学生向けに、滞在をより充実させるエンリッチメントプログラムも提供しています。企業訪問、文化・言語交流、地元企業とのワークショップ、日本人プロフェッショナルによるセミナー、歴史的・文化的スポットの訪問など、多面的な体験を通じて、学生が自信をつけ、文化の違いを理解し、シアトルのコミュニティと深くつながる機会を提供しています。
