Hey everyone. I'm Tracy. I am trying to help a good friend of mine to rebuild her life again.
On the 29th November 2025 a devastating fire destroyed the home of a single Mum (Sue Dodd) and her two teenage children, Freya 17 and Harry 13.
In a matter of 12 minutes the whole house had gone up and they lost absolutely everything. Their home, belongings, clothes, and many precious memories. Even all the Christmas presents for the children had gone.
At the time of the fire Sue was in bed after a night shift. She was woken by her teenage Daughter with a room full of black smoke.
With nothing apart from her pyjamas they both managed to escape the fire to her parents house, next door.
The fire was caused by an electrical fault in the fuse box.
She and her two teenagers have lost absolutely EVERYTHING!
At this present time she is sharing a bed in a spare room with her daughter Freya at her parents house. The teenage boy, Harry is using a Z bed in the living room. This is how they have been living for the last 4 months.
The insurance company are digging their heels in and capping the claim due to some technicalities around an extension that was not updated in the policy.
This is meaning Sue is having to find a substantial amount of money herself to even be able to make the house in any livable state.
Can you imagine the impact this has had on them?
How would you feel if you were in this terrible situation?
Sue has always worked hard as a Senior Nurse in ICU to provide a safe and loving home for her children, but this tragedy has left the family starting over from nothing.
Sue has taken no time off from work after this hoffiic ordeal and in fact went back into her burning building to get her uniform!! This woman is so dedicated to helping people, specifically babies and young children in her role at North Staffordshire Hospital. This time she needs our help....
Please help donate what ever you can. Every single penny counts towards getting this family back into their home again.
Thank you for taking the time for reading her story and for any support you can give. Every donation and share helps more than words can express.
Much love
Tracy xx
