I am raising funds for a baby boy now in my guardianship after I stepped in so he would not go back into the system. His mother was heavily using fentanyl, and when CPS reached out to family and tribe members, no one stepped up to take him in. I could not leave him alone in the hospital without a home, so I took him in and got full guardianship so he could have a loving family and a real chance at a good life.

He was born at Enumclaw hospital a month early on July 21, 2026, weighing 5 lbs. 13 oz. After birth, he went through withdrawals from the drugs in his system. I have been there since day one, watching him fight through so much in such a short life. His weight dropped to 4 pounds, and now at one and a half months old he is up to 9 lbs. 3 oz. He is truly a miracle and a fighter.

I am disabled and low income, and I had just finished raising my two sons. My youngest is 17, almost 18, and I never expected to start over with a newborn. But I could not turn away from this precious little boy when he needed someone. Caring for him has affected me financially, emotionally, and physically, yet I want to keep giving him the safety and stability he deserves.
