On Thursday, my baby brother Keith (40) had a heart attack — one that doctors said would have been fatal if he hadn’t gotten to the hospital when he did. He’s still in the hospital recovering and will be out of work for at least a few weeks as he regains his strength.
Keith is a single dad to two amazing kids, ages 6 and 8. He is raising them on his own, and has done everything in his power to hold his little family together, helping his children heal and keeping their lives as stable and happy as possible. They are his entire world and he is theirs.
Because of his children’s emotional needs since their mom chose a life without them a few years ago, Keith had to leave a stable full-time job to find flexible work so he could be there for them. That meant giving up benefits like paid time off or medical leave — which makes this situation even harder. With him now unable to work for several weeks, there’s no safety net to cover rent, utilities, groceries, and the basic costs of living while he recovers.
If you know Keith, you know he’s the type of person who would drop everything to help a friend, family member, or even a stranger in need. Now, it’s our turn to help him.
We’re raising funds to cover one month of living expenses for Keith and his children while he focuses on recovery. Any amount — big or small — will make a real difference and help this loving father get back on his feet without worrying about how to keep the lights on or food on the table.
Please consider donating and sharing this page to help Keith heal and continue being the amazing dad, brother, and friend that he is.
Thank you for your love, prayers, and support.
