Support a local soup kitchen in Gaza
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Rafat Abu Raida. I'm a Palestinian humanitarian worker from Gaza with a team that has been running a local soup kitchen for a few years now. While my family and I have evacuated to Egypt, I am raising the funds for my volunteer team in Gaza to cook hot meals for displaced Palestinian civilians in the Strip.
Gaza is facing a real crisis, as the escalation of violence couldn't have come at a worse time. The Gaza Strip is already suffering from a weakened healthcare system, shortages of medical and food supplies, and a lack of essential life necessities.
Since October 7th, more than 39,514 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, including over 8,800 children, as well as healthcare workers, journalists, and over 100 United Nations staff members. Entire cities have been leveled, reduced to gray rubble, with thousands buried under the ruins of their homes. The Israeli airstrikes have caused a major humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Our team on the ground tirelessly aids the displaced in shelter camps, providing essential needs such as cooking food over wood fires, distributing food parcels, and supplying drinking water to alleviate their suffering under these harsh conditions. We purchase aid supplies from the markets based on availability, like vegetables and other food items. Additionally, we distribute food daily through a kitchen that serves as a soup kitchen.
We document all the relief work we carry out to help the displaced through photographs and documents that are shared on social media. Therefore, we need your serious humanitarian support to help ease the pain and suffering of those experiencing this oppression in Gaza.
Stand with your displaced brothers and sisters in the Gaza Strip. We urge you to continue supporting our brothers and sisters in Gaza.
