Our Dad, Brad Ironmonger, is the first person to lend a helping hand, yet the last to ever ask for help himself. He’s known throughout the community for showing up—rain or shine—whenever someone needs a fix, a favour, or a friendly face.

This past week, while working at a job site in Owen Sound, his truck was stolen by someone fleeing from police. Although the initial vehicle damage will be covered, we’re bracing for potential issues that may arise later on from the unauthorized use of his truck.

The hardest blow came during the chase: his work tools spilled out of the back of the truck and were lost. These tools are his livelihood, and without them, it’s difficult for him to do what he does best—help others. His insurance deductible alone is $2,500, and we’re unsure how much, if any, of the tool replacement costs will be covered.

We’re reaching out to ask for help—something he’d never do for himself. Our goal is to cover part of the deductible or just enough to replace the tools he needs to get back on his feet. On top of that, he’s lost valuable work time dealing with the situation.
