Over the past few months, I’ve been pretty quiet and isolated. If I haven’t responded or seemed distant, I truly apologize. When I go through something traumatic or overwhelming, I tend to shut down and unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened recently.

A few months ago, my car was broken into in West Hollywood while I stepped into a showroom for just 15 minutes. In that short time, over $13,000 worth of photography equipment and styling pieces were stolen. It was heartbreaking. As a freelancer, I’ve built everything from the ground up. My gear isn’t just equipment; it’s how I make a living. It’s an extension of my creativity, my passion, and my identity.

The theft not only impacted my ability to work, but also led to the loss of valuable, unrecoverable projects. It’s been incredibly hard, but I’m doing my best to stay strong, reflect, and push forward. If there’s one thing this situation reminded me, it’s that while someone can take your tools, they can never take your talent or drive.
