It was recently brought to my attention by a dear friend that a single mother, previously affected by abuse, and her two boys in Anderson, South Carolina, was homeless and in dire need of help. Due to unforeseen circumstances and medical reasons, she has been out of work, keeping her immobile and unable to provide for herself and her family. As a domestic violence survivor, each year, I take on a personal case that I feel needs immediate attention to use my voice to reach out to the community to help me. I'm asking for your assistance in offsetting the cost of their rent, furniture, basic household utilities, and essentials, as well as clothes and shoes for her sons, ages 8 and 9. Let's come together and make sure this young family has somewhere to live and the essentials they need before the school year.
