Support a Heartfelt Farewell for a Cherished Father

My father passed away on Sunday, June 22nd at 5:42 pm. My father was paralyzed due to a stroke he had in January of 2023. After the stroke happened, I brought my father home with me, got him sober off alcohol after being an alcoholic for 35 years (my entire life basically), and he died 2 1/2 years sober to the day. For the last two years, my dad got to spend time with me and his grandchildren. He was able to accomplish things he would have never accomplished if he continued drinking, even being paralyzed. I was really so proud of how well he was doing, and then about 6 months ago, he was having complications with his bladder and required a catheter. Ultimately, my father got an infection from the catheter and just didn’t have it in him to beat it.

Raising money to organize a service for my Father. The information for the service will be posted on my Facebook when it is arranged. Thank you to anyone who chooses to help out and collectively send my dad back to his brother, best friend (my godfather), his mother, and his grandmother who basically raised my father and uncle.
