Young widow and mom laid off a year after her husband dies

A little about us. I, 50, female, mother, teacher, Christian, friend…widow. She, 19, student, artist, friend, believer…daughter. Last year, in March, she and I lost our lifeline. My best friend and husband; her best friend and a man she called “Dad.” He took care of us, and we took care of him. See, he had taken a fall in 2013 and was rendered disabled after he crashed his skull and the top part of his body. His career as a financial guru began to decline, as did his memory and his body. I always thought he would recover, that I would take care of us with my teaching salary, and our daughter was getting great grades, which led to an educational scholarship for college. Then, it happened. 2013 caught up with us, and he succumbed to his injuries, and we lost him. Our daughter tried her best to hold onto her scholarship, and I, my teaching salary. We struggled. He had left very little we could rely on, and what he did leave, someone stole. Widows are very targeted, and this I learned the hard way!
Flash forward to now. I lost my teaching job this past spring. Because of the grief, my performance was not as good as it had been in the last 8 years, and I was let go. I have yet to find work. I am on unemployment. My daughter works and goes to school. I hate asking for help.
If you can help just a little, it would restore my faith in humanity. God bless you. And God bless us all.
