I am raising money for a friend of mine who is like a family member and has had custody of her grandchild for almost 2 years. The child was badly abused physically as an infant and was taken to the ER for injuries from the abuse. The relative was called to pick up the child and has had custody ever since. The case has been dragging on with no closure, and the grandparent, who is a single mom, was told to hire an attorney to obtain full custody of the child. As you all know, attorneys are expensive, and she is needing help to keep this child safe from harm.
