My name is Alaa Radwan, a Palestinian writer, teacher, and translator from Gaza. I am also a mother of three small children.

I have received an unconditional offer to study a Master by Research in Media and Communications at Goldsmiths, University of London, beginning in September 2026. This opportunity is more than an academic milestone for me.

I have spent years teaching, translating, and writing about Gaza and Palestinian life. Education has always been the path I believed in, the way to rebuild, to speak truth, and to create opportunities even in the darkest circumstances. This master's programme will allow me to continue that work and open a path for a better future for my children.

We are trying to raise funds to cover essential visa and education costs, including:

100% of the tuition fees for the programme:

£21000

Rent and living expenses: £22,000

Total fundraising goal: £41,000 approximately

Every contribution, no matter how small, will bring us closer to stability and a new beginning.

If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign with others would mean the world to us.

Thank you for standing with our family and helping us take this step toward rebuilding our lives.

With gratitude,

Alaa and Islam
