Hello there, I'm starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my best friend. She is battling Stage 3 Liver Cancer.

She is and has always been there for those in her life; always willing to give, and to take care of them in whatever way she can. Even as she is battling this disease, she manages to give strong words of encouragement to those around her, and show her deep love in every single one of her actions. Now she's in a position where she is the one who needs help and asking for help is not easy for her, as she's always been fiercely independent.

She needs a new medication that is $7,000 monthly, on top of her other specialized medications that her insurance does not cover that she's had to pay for months now. This new medication has the potential to heal her liver back to normal, and possibly take her off the transplant list, which is why it’s so important to get as soon as possible. To even start the medication she needs the full amount for the 3 month course. This medication can not be started and then stopped. The medication must taken consistently for the entire 3 months for it to work. That’s why it’s essential that she have the funds as soon as possible.

With the cost of her medical care being so high while also trying to pay for day-to-day bills and necessities, she and her boyfriend have had to put themselves in debt to be able to cover these monthly costs. Meanwhile her disability is still in process. Even with the disability, the out-of-pocket costs are too high to manage. This has put an excessive strain on her, and it’s hard to watch this bright, loving, faithful woman become depressed and anxiety ridden from all the stress this disease is causing.
