Hi there I’m working with an individual in Apple Valley through the C.H.O.R.E. Program through the C.A.P. Agency in Dakota County.
This person has limited mobility so I was asked to help with some basic cleaning. However, upon arriving it became clear that, due to some of their mobility issues (inability to reach up into cabinets leading to having to store their food mostly on the counter for accessibility) they have developed a mouse situation.
I think we’ve developed a great system moving forward that will keep food accessible to the resident but hopefully not to mice. However, the problem was significant enough that I believe we need to get an exterminator in there so we can have a fresh start.
I received the client’s okay to get an estimate and a two phase treatment (1: trapping and removal 2: sealing the property) would cost around $550 (I’m rounding up to $600 for a cushion).
I spoke with the client and got their okay to look at finding funding for this project. I am reaching out to orgs in the area and will amend the ask if other funding becomes available but right now I’m asking for anyone interested in some good old fashioned mutual aid to chuck a few bucks in the proverbial hat and hopefully we can make a dent in it.
I will provide a redacted copy of the invoice as well as either a bank statement or CC statement confirming the amount and payment.
Anything helps and feel free to share with your network. Thanks folks!!!
