Help Support a Local Foster Mom and Her Kids

Hey everyone... Sophie here... over the past year, I’ve noticed several children coming and going from my neighbor’s home. Recently, I saw three new little faces and finally asked her about it. She shared with me that she takes in foster children—kids who come from really tough situations and need a safe place to land.

When I asked if there was anything they needed, she humbly said they were short on clothes for the two girls and one little boy currently in her care. She didn’t ask for anything else, but I’ve been inside her home, and I’ve seen firsthand that they’re without basic furniture—no couches, no dining table, no real places for the kids to sit, play, or eat together.

She’s already stretched thin and has reached out to available resources, but what’s offered is limited. I know she doesn’t have the time or energy to advocate for herself, so I’m stepping in.

I’m reaching out to my community to help raise at least $2,000 to buy new clothes for the kids and, if possible, refurnish their apartment with essentials like a couch, a table, and chairs. If you’re able to donate—whether it’s $5 or $50—every bit will help, make these kids feel more at home and cared for.

Due to the nature of the foster placement—related to a domestic violence situation—I’m unable to share names or photos of the children. But please know that your support will go directly to meeting their real, immediate needs.
