Due to the lack of joint custody in Japan, over the last six years I've struggled to be allowed to meet my son even a few hours per month. And he is now lacking in health and poor attendance at school.

As challenging as it will be, I am pursuing legal action in Japan to first, improve the terms of my visitation rights, and possible longterm actions to transfer custody to myself, a process that could take a year or more.

I have started this legal process, but as I am limited in my ability to cover the lawyer fees, I am trying this fundraiser to help my son and I, so we can live together as he begins his formative junior high school years.
