I am asking for help. Asking for help isn’t an easy task for me. I’ve always been mindful and aware that hard times can happen at any given time but never imagined that it would be at my door. It’s here and I am trying with all my strength to keep it from taking everything from my daughter and I.

I know times are hard for many with the current landscape, and I wouldn't be asking for help unless it was absolutely necessary…

Our household is going through a very troubling and difficult divorce. My real estate work of 20 yrs has never been this challenging. Since March it's extremely slow and being commission based has compounded the struggles.

Trying to find a new job or adding something to bridge the gaps hasn’t been easy with all of the chaos of these days.

We are now forced to sell vs choosing to sell our home because of financial difficulties unknown to me due to a lack of transparency.

Asking for this goes against everything I stand for, how I was raised, and everything I worked so hard for. Because I am asking, I want to be as transparent as possible when asking for help and because being a parent we will do everything for our kids.

It will take a minimum of 45/60 days to sell the house, but my need is immediate because they are going to turn off our water and all utilities within the next week. With the heat, having a child and dog, this is very concerning. We just spent the last $90 for groceries to get us by hopefully today and this week. This is what we're currently facing:

$3,300 for mortgage payment. Sale of home takes average 45 days.

Three months back on all utilities, cell phone, and city water $1,480.

Insurance for my daughter, car, and house $1,275.

Dr. visits for Mia now with our health insurance was canceled out of pocket visits for wellness $675

Food/groceries and essentials for back to school coming in two and half weeks-the basic staple needs for the next two/three weeks $580 to $600.

If I can just keep them from turning off the utilities and do the essentials, like putting food on the table, I think it will help us keep afloat during the time it takes to sell the house.

Anything you or someone you know, can do to help is and will be so appreciated.

I know I will get back on my feet after this horrific situation is resolved and worked out.

I am doing all this for my daughter, dog and to survive.
