Support Baraa, a Fashion Designer, and Her Family in Gaza

Donation protected
Baraa Foura is a kind and ambitious 23-year-old Palestinian woman living in Deir al Balah refugee camp in central Gaza. She had just graduated with a fashion degree, was preparing to start her own business, and was engaged to be married when the escalation of violence against her people put her dreams on hold. Her family’s home and textile business were destroyed. Baraa has lost family members and is separated from her fiance. Essentially, she has lost everything she spent her whole life building.

Famine is rampant in the camp due to the blockade and extremely high prices of goods in the Gaza strip. Baraa’s family is not able to afford necessities like medication and food. Also, Baraa’s father is ill and needs to evacuate Gaza for emergency surgery. Since the family cannot afford this and the border is closed, he needs medication to survive.

Baraa has an urgent mutual aid request for donations to pay for basic necessities (food, water, shelter, medication, etc.) and evacuate her father to Egypt for emergency surgery.

A message from Baraa:

“Hello,

I am Baraa, 23 years old, I am from Gaza. I studied design and fashion, then I continued in several centers in the field of design. I was about to open my own business as a fashion designer. I intended to develop myself more and more in my field, and I had many goals, but unfortunately everything stopped because of the war.

We were living an ideal life, a beautiful house that we worked for years to build and decorate.

I was engaged and I was about to get married. All my equipment and the joy of my life were gone.

I lost my home, people from my family, my equipment, and my whole life. There was no longer any financial income to help me complete my life.

But this is not all, the hardest thing we are going through is displacement and the difficulty of finding water and food, and most of the basic food needs are not available in Gaza, and if they are available, it will be at a price that we cannot afford. Also (((My father is in a very difficult situation, he needs an emergency operation, but there is no way out because of the closure of the crossing..)))‼️ Now my father lives on medications, and unfortunately their price is expensive. Other times we cannot afford the medication‼️

Of course, I may have woken up late to ask for help from the world to help me compensate for what I and my family, their equipment and their factories have lost.

I am not a beggar and I am chaste, thank God, but this is the duty of every person in the world to help us. We have endured and seen a lot of hunger, thirst, humiliation, bombing, displacement and loss. We just need you to help us.

I hope you help me so I can help my family and those around me. I have never asked for help from anyone, but the situation in Gaza is very difficult. There is no food or clean water, and everything is expensive to the point that a bag of flour costs $100, and unfortunately we don’t have the money to buy anything. ”
