This fundraiser supports a resilient family of four who have faced unimaginable challenges in their fight against Primary Hyperoxaluria Type 1 (PH1), a rare and life-threatening genetic disease. After losing one child to PH1, the parents made the courageous decision to travel to the United States, determined to save their remaining two sons. Recently, they moved from California to Minnesota to seek life-saving treatment for their children.
The family has managed to cover most of their expenses throughout their journey, but they are now struggling with the costs of relocation. They urgently need help to pay for their final month of rent at their California apartment and rental car expenses for the next couple of months as they settle into their new life in Minnesota. These costs have become overwhelming, and they are relying on the generosity of donors to get through this critical time.
I have been working with this family for over a year and can personally vouch for their strength and determination. My 501(c)(3) non-profit, Finding a Way, has assisted them along their journey, but we do not currently have the funding to cover these relocation costs. Your support will help this family overcome immediate financial obstacles and focus on what matters most: their children's health and well-being. Every contribution makes a difference in their journey toward hope and healing.
Due to the confidentiality of their medical treatment, I am keeping the names of the family members private. They have obtained legal immigration documents and travel visas and are in America legally.
