We are reaching out on behalf of a family that has faced unimaginable tragedy. This family, a father and two young children, fled Mexico after the mother was brutally murdered by organized crime about a year and a half ago. The father was also shot six times and underwent numerous medical procedures to recover. Despite these hardships, they have sought refuge in the U.S. on an asylum visa. Unfortunately, the odds are not in their favor. If their asylum case is denied, the father and children will be arrested and detained in immigration centers during the appeal process, which can last from 30 to 90 days or even longer. Despite having entered the U.S. legally with an asylum visa, they will face confinement, adding immense hardship, especially for the children who have already witnessed their mother's murder and their father's shooting. The family is also facing significant financial burdens. Immigration fees and living expenses are mounting, and their host family, who is also struggling financially, has been covering many of these costs. We want to ensure they have the support they need during this critical time and to alleviate the burden on their host family. Please join us in making a difference. Every contribution, no matter how small, matters. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
