Support a family of trafficking survivors gain stability

Hello and welcome to all! My name is Megan, and I am hosting this GoFundMe for some very close loved ones of mine. Please take the time to read the message below directly from this family in need that I have also been an Ally for these past 8 years.

There are times in our journey from familial human trafficking that we need the support of our friends and community to break the cycles that would keep us from safety, stability, and success. When these gaps occur, it is critical for us. We are still recovering from lingering medical issues that make traditional solutions not accessible.

We have been in our current home for 9 years, and like many, the rent is skyrocketing out of our fixed income range. Fortunately, we were able to get a final lease that allows us to stay here until our new home, that some dear friends are making available to us, is ready early next year. Coupled with some of our usual resources becoming unavailable, we are working on bridging this financial gap.

The opportunity to have a safe and stable home that we can afford is such a blessing coming our way. This will allow us to have many opportunities that we do not have now, but we have to get there. This gap could undermine all of our years of work and risk homelessness again. Homelessness will no longer be an ever-present threat once we are able to move to the new location, which is the greatest risk to being revictimized.

We need $2500 to navigate the next 5 months here due to the reasons stated above and another $2500 for the moving expenses. This brings us to a level of safety and opportunities we've never, ever had before.

Our allies and those who love and care about us are verifying and sharing this GoFundMe as we must stay out of the public eye to maintain our safety still to this day.
