my bf of 12 years is going to prison for a year and a half and I have never ever been apart from him for more than a few days before. I’m 28 he’s 26. He Turns 27 on July 21 and he has to go turn himself into prison in a few short months. He’s been in there since my birthday, feb 14. (Yes, Valentines day) and I want him to be able to come home to me even if it was only for a day I would do just about anything to hold him again. The jail is a fortress and he never ever leaves his pod. Nothing to do but walk laps all day and not allowed near cells during the day. He sleeps on the literal floor by the toilet and I’ve actually been in the jail he is incarcerated in and the food is so foul it’s literally tasteless and unidentifiable. All he has is the book cart and talking on the phone with me. They do not let me see him for visits (only by kiosk online or at kiosk in the jail) can’t see him at court dates (he uses the same kiosk for that too) and I can’t send him letters w my perfume or smell on it (they take pics of the letters and then upload on kiosk)… anyway I’m raising this money for his bail and any other legal expenses he will have so he can come home and spend time with his family(me). My bfs PO is angry and basically hates him for absconding and pushes and pushes for years of prison time and the ONLY way to save him from that is if he makes BAIL and starts reporting to her and getting back in her good graces! and his puppy(8year old GSD) is getting older and older everyday and I fear the possibility of the pup dying before he’s released since that would be like 2 years from now. His grandmother and mother are both so stressed out abt money all the time his mother is considering selling our family home to get him out and I worry something might happen to them during his sentence considering his mother already had 1 stroke since he’s been incarcerated. And his grandmother is very elderly and tired. As of this moment my bf is trying to convince his grandmother to bail him out which would require a loan that would financially ruin her or make her lose her house. He promises to pay back every penny and I know he absolutely would in that case but it doesn’t sit right with me either way. She should get to keep her house and live peacefully while she can and his mom deserves some actual rest and she can’t get that till her baby boy is back home safe and warm and happy. We’re a very low income household and so is his GMA. His mom seems like she’s withering away from all the stress of the whole thing. I just want some peace for my family. He just wants to sleep in his bed again and get a real shower .. even if he ended up having only 1 night of freedom as a result of this fundraiser, it would mean everything to the both of us and the rest of our family. My main concern is that My bfs PO is angry and basically hates him for absconding and pushes and pushes for years of prison time and the ONLY way to save him from that is if he makes BAIL and starts reporting to her and getting back in her good graces!!! Otherwise he will be sitting there for god knows how long til he goes to prison where his sentence will officially start and he will get 0 time served.
