Support a Family During Heart Recovery Journey

My son was born with a heart condition and had two holes in his heart that he needed heart surgery for. He’s been in the hospital ever since he was born in August. I had no time to be on maternity leave due to me having to pay for Ubers to go and see him when I can. I lost my car to a car accident.

I have my own business, so my maternity leave was not paid for. So, I had to return right after I gave birth to him to keep up with expenses and for my two-year-old. I normally don’t ask for help, but I am struggling to keep up with my bills and saving up for a car.

When my son comes home, I will not be able to put him into daycare so I can work, and I can’t take him to work with me because of the healing conditions he will be in. I will need to stay home with him for 3 months until his stitches are fully healed so he can be in daycare and I can return to work. Money will be used to help with bills, support my two year old and my son when he returns home to us and a down payment on a car.
