Hello, my name is Lupita and I am hoping to raise funds for my co-worker, Maria. On January 21, 2026, Maria’s family experienced a devastating hardship that turned their lives upside down in a matter of hours. Maria’s dad was taken by ICE in Camarillo while doing something so ordinary- drying clothes at a laundromat. A simple task that we all do everyday.

He has been a provider for his family for many years. His entire livelihood is here, and he is now being deported to Mexico, a place he has not lived in for a very long time.

The family is now facing an incredibly stressful and uncertain time; emotional trauma, separation, and the loss of a primary source of income, all while trying to maintain stability.

I am raising funds to help ease the financial burden during this difficult period. These funds will help them get back on their feet while they navigate this stressful transition. Any amount is appreciated, even just sharing this post is of great help.
