Support a Dream: Help a Retiree Publish His Book

Donation protected
Hi to all! My name is Don Marsolais and I just reached the pinnacle of my book writing efforts. Now, I just need to pay for it. Good news! Thanks to a large donation, I only need $6,000 to help pay for the printing of my book, "Twelve Days of Christmas Stories". Please read my story for additional information. Thanks for your support.

I have been selected by Barnes and Noble to place my Christmas anthology, "Twelve Days of Christmas Stories," in over 300 of their stores in America. They have given me a very good price to print my book, but it is going to be difficult to pay for the printing of the 1,000 books they want to buy.

Here's a little bit about me. I earned the Eagle Scout badge with Bronze Palm in 1963. I graduated from Mt. Carmel High School in 1965 and entered the US Air Force in 1967 for four years. I earned an Associate of Arts Degree in 1973, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1975, and an MPA in 1980. I worked in various management positions over the next 30 years with United California Bank, and Pacific Bell. When I retired from Pacific Bell, I landed the job I was truly meant to have, teacher in the Diocese of Sacramento Catholic school system. Since retiring after 19 years of teaching, I have fulfilled my life's dream of becoming a published author. I've written three books since 2020.

"Twelve Days of Christmas Stories" is my second book and is an anthology of Christmas stories that I have been writing over the years for my friends and family. Barnes and Noble has read my book and wants to put it in their stores, but the cost is considerable for a retiree living on Social Security.

That gets me to why I am opening a GoFundMe account. I need approximately $10,000 to fund the printing of the 1,000 books they require.

I'm asking 1,000 people interested in helping me achive my goal of placing my book in all Barnes and Noble stores in America for a donation of $10. That's it, only $10. Of course, you may donate more if you desire, but I believe that there are 1,000 people out there who want to help this retired teacher have a Merry Christmas.

If you are so inclined, please donate during the first week of this appeal so that I can purchase the 1,000 books that Barnes and Noble will distribute to their stores. Thank you in advance for reading this and responding with $10 or more.
