As many of you know, my children and I have faced unimaginable heartbreak. We lost their mother to cancer, and since that moment, I’ve stepped into the role of both mom and dad. I’ve devoted my life to ensuring my kids are loved, supported, and happy despite the challenges we’ve faced. They are my world, and every decision I’ve made has been with their best interests in mind.

Recently, my ex-mother-in-law has taken legal action to seek custody of my children. I cannot fathom why this is happening, as I’ve always been a present and caring father, providing a stable and loving home for them. I’ve worked tirelessly to ensure their well-being, even buying a home to create a secure space for us as their mother’s health declined.

Now, I’m facing a legal battle I never imagined, and it’s placing an enormous financial strain on me. Every penny I have goes toward providing for my children, and while I never thought I’d be in a position to ask for help, I need to fight for my family. I need to hire a lawyer to ensure my kids stay where they belong—with their father, in the home we’ve built together.

This unexpected challenge also means I may not be able to give my kids the Christmas they deserve. It breaks my heart to think of disappointing them after all they’ve already endured.
