Support Fernando After Unjust Termination
Donation protected
Central Vermont Healthcare United is reaching out to our community to support one of our own during a challenging time. Fernando De Jesus, a highly respected nurse and Chief Steward of Med/Surg on the Executive Board of our union, has recently faced an unexpected and unjust termination from his position at CVMC.
With over 15 years of nursing experience, Fernando De Jesus has consistently demonstrated unwavering dedication to patient care and advocacy. His commitment to excellence has been recognized through multiple accolades, including two prestigious Daisy Awards—one from Cottage Hospital in 2021 and another from CVMC in 2023. These awards are a testament to the compassion, skill, and dedication Fernando brings to every patient interaction.
Beyond his clinical expertise, Fernando has been an invaluable voice for his colleagues through his role as Chief Steward on the Executive Board of our union. He has tirelessly advocated for safer working conditions, fair treatment, and the well-being of both patients and staff.
Unfortunately, the sudden loss of employment has created significant financial strain, particularly in the form of back-rent obligations. As someone who has dedicated his life to caring for others, it is now our turn to step up and support Fernando during this difficult period.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will directly assist in alleviating this financial burden and provide much-needed stability as he navigates this challenging chapter.
Let us come together as a community to show our gratitude for Fernando’s years of service, advocacy, and leadership. Your support will make a meaningful difference.
Thank you for your generosity and solidarity.
