In honour of a truly incredible lady who I had the absolute pleasure of being beside this past year, myself and friends will be taking part in running 21kms at Perth running festival on the 12th October, and will be running to help raise money in aid of Cure for MND Foundation INC. A bit about Kerry… before being diagnosed, Kerry lived a freely fit and healthy lifestyle, cooking up storms, travelling, physical activities, always dressed to impress, socialising weekly with friends and family, and devouring eating good foods! all while strutting the isles of Ansett Airlines working as a fabulous air hostess. Kerry was very unexpectedly diagnosed with MND at the age of 64, in 2022, and courageously fought at her new life with this debilitating disease, with nothing but incredible strength, selflessness, courage and constant humour making light even on her bad days. Kerry’s hobbies, daily routines, and quality of life which came so easily before had all been stripped, making even talking exhausting. Helping to raise money to research into a cure for MND would help change many people’s quality of life.

More information about Cure for MND Foundation INC: FightMND aims to raise awareness and funds for research into a cure for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in the hopes that one day we may all live in a world free from MND.

All funds raised are donated directly to the top MND Research facilities in Australia in order to further our understanding of this disease, in the hope of one day living in a world free from MND.
