Help Us Build a Healing, Inclusive Community Center in North Carolina

Hi, we’re Leslie, Melanie and Kasie, sisters with one shared dream: to create a community space where people can feel safe, supported, and seen. We’re raising funds to begin a nonprofit (or not-for-profit) organization rooted in inclusivity, healing, holistic wellness, and education—because we believe the world needs more places where people can come together without fear or judgment.

Our Vision:

We want to purchase a piece of land and a small home to transform into a community sanctuary—a place where people from all walks of life can come to heal, grow, create, and connect.

This space will be more than just a center—it will be a living, breathing hub for holistic health and community empowerment. We envision:

• A cozy tea shop and a room filled with used books, plants, crystals, and soulful conversations

• A studio for yoga, meditation, energy healing, nutrition education, cooking classes, and other wellness practices

• Creative classes like music, songwriting, poetry, and art that inspire self-expression and healing

• Workshops on holistic health—from herbal remedies and emotional well-being to empowering you on your personal journey

• A wraparound porch for “painting on the porch” days, storytelling, peaceful reflection, and quiet moments with a cup of tea

• Outdoor space for open mic nights, craft fairs, healing circles, garden gatherings, and stargazing evenings under the stars

• A community garden and food pantry to support those in need and teach sustainable living

• Events that blend science and spirituality—offering space for open-minded curiosity and meaningful conversation

• A platform where small businesses, artists, and educators can host classes, share their gifts, or sell their work

• Fire pit evenings, community meals, and local music that bring people together like family

Why We’re Doing This Together:

As sisters, we’ve felt the calling to create something that goes beyond ourselves. We’ve walked different paths but found common ground in our love for holistic living, healing work, and building bridges between people.

Together, we are combining our passions and strengths to create a space that welcomes everyone—regardless of race, religion, background, or beliefs.

This will be a place where we don’t try to convert each other, but where we listen, learn, and grow together—with compassion, curiosity, and respect.

Why We Need Your Help:

We’re starting from scratch, but with a lot of heart. Your donations will help us:

• Legally form our nonprofit with professional guidance

• Purchase land and a small home to renovate into the community space

• Make the home safe, accessible, and welcoming

• Build a parking area, gardens, outdoor event spaces, and a wraparound porch

• Create a fully equipped studio for yoga, meditation, nutrition and wellness classes

• Offer free or donation-based programs for those in need

• Stock the tea shop with locally sourced goods, books, and holistic supplies

• Provide initial materials to start our garden and workshops

• Acquire instruments, art materials, and tools for creative and healing classes

We are committed to full transparency in how funds are used, and everything we create will be designed to benefit our local community in North Carolina and beyond.

How We Plan to Give Back to the Community

This center will serve as a heart space for healing, learning, and connection. Here are some of the ways we intend to support and uplift our local community:

•Host donation-based and free community nights featuring shared meals, live music, storytelling, and joyful connection.

•Offer a variety of holistic wellness sessions, including energy healing, yoga, meditation, and peer-led support groups focused on emotional and spiritual well-being.

•Provide a welcoming hub for local artists, crafters, and small businesses to teach, showcase, and sell their work in a supportive and collaborative space.

•Create free learning opportunities through educational talks, community-led classes, volunteer projects, and a shared resource network.

•Maintain a community garden, a Little Free Pantry, and a Little Free Library—ensuring nourishment for both body and mind.

•Curate events and conversations that bridge science and spirituality, fostering curiosity, open-minded dialogue, and mutual respect.

•Be a safe, inclusive sanctuary for anyone in need of rest, reflection, support, or connection—no matter their background, belief system, or identity.

Future Offerings We’re Excited to Build:

•Monthly healing circles and seasonal celebrations aligned with nature’s rhythms.

•A lending library focused on herbalism, holistic health, and self-discovery.

•Skill-sharing sessions and barter-based exchanges to empower people with tools and trades, regardless of financial means.

•A seed-saving station and sustainability workshops to reconnect with the Earth and build resilience together.

•Opportunities for guided nature walks, mindful movement, and support circles for new parents, caregivers, and those navigating life transitions.

This isn’t just a space—it’s a movement toward unity, wellness, and authentic community.

Founding Donor Perks:

To thank you for helping us bring this dream to life, every founding donor will be recognized as an Honorary Community Member and receive a free class pass of your choice when we open. Your name (or someone you’d like to honor) will be included on a special Founders Wall in the space—a tribute to the community roots that helped us grow.

We believe that by supporting each other, we rise together. Your support—whether it’s through donations, sharing our story, or sending encouragement—means the world to us.

Thank you for helping us turn this vision into a reality. We promise to pour our hearts into every step of this journey.

With deep love and gratitude,

Leslie, Melanie and Kasie
