Hello, My name is Nigel and I lead a team in Cleobury Mortimer trying to save a beautiful Grade ll* listed Georgian Manor House right in the middle of the town. The house has been unoccupied for nearly 14 years since it was a former Nursing Home. The owner is allowing it to become an eyesore to the residents of the town and the many visitors that pass through. We started a campaign in 2020 to try to save the House and see it restored to its former glory. Building a web site and publishing regular updates through newsletters, a dedicated web site and corresponding with local authorities and National bodies comes at a cost which has financial consequences. We have over 220 subscribers who share our vision for the house but we ramped up the campaign to include Charities like English Heritage, the Georgian Group, Save Britain's Heritage and the Society for the Protection of ancient Buildings. Many of these bodies we have to either donate to or pay a subscription and your donation no matter how small would go along way to help us achieve our long term goal. One ambition would be to fund a full professional survey of the building to asses its potential value and help the owner to find a buyer.
