Help me raise funds to bring joy back into a widows life after a tragic accident ripped her dog away from her.

Hello, my name is Molly and I am reaching out to you today to ask for your help. Recently, my mom's dog Zippy was killed after being hit by a car right in front of her. The car never stopped or even tapped on their brakes after hitting him and just left her screaming in the middle of the road.

My mother loves her dogs with everything in her. They are her child, her protector, her reason for coming home before it gets dark and before a storm comes through. Any dog who is lucky enough to be loved by this lady has won the lottery when it comes to an owner. She will buy them treats constantly, nap with them tucked behind her knees, give them their own perch by the front window to bark at anyone driving by and give them so much love that it radiates everywhere. She needs to have a dog in her life. Someone she can always count on to be there for the good and the bad.

Someone who can fill her heart after so many holes have been ripped into it and someone that she can spoil to her hearts content.

We would like to get her a toy/small dog from a shelter that has hopefully been housebroken. The only problem is that these shelters want to charge anywhere from $350 all the way up to $900 for an adoption fee! This is crazy when there are people like my mom who can afford to take care of a dog, but can't afford to rescue it.
