On Friday, March 20, our beloved father, husband, pastor, and community leader, Yeison Cortes, was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Linden, New Jersey. Yeison is a dedicated, hardworking man with no criminal history who is currently navigating the legal asylum process. By the grace of God, he was released on bond on April 8th after 19 days in detention. His case is now being addressed through proper legal channels, and he faces an urgent legal battle that requires experienced counsel.
During this time, Yeison’s family—his wife and their three young daughters—are experiencing significant emotional and financial strain. For many years, Yeison has faithfully served our community as a Resource Pastor at The Gathering Place NJ, where he also leads the weekly intercessory prayer ministry, “The War Room.” His compassion, leadership, and unwavering faith have touched countless lives.
Today, we are asking for your support.
Your contribution will help cover Yeison’s legal expenses and provide essential support for his family during this incredibly difficult season. Any amount you are able to give will make a meaningful difference. If you are unable to give, we ask that you please share this page and keep Yeison and his family in your prayers.
Thank you for standing with Yeison and his family.
