Our beloved grandparents are 91 and 92. They have been married for over 69 years and are still doing well in their home. Up until April 2021, our grandparents were able to care for themselves. Grandpa drove, Grandma cooked, and both were capable of administering their own medications. On April 1, 2021, Our Grandfather fell and suffered a massive brain injury, and since then, they started to need some assistance with home and activities of daily living.

As time has progressed, they continue to need even more assistance. They now require family and caregivers for socialization, supervision, and help with medication management, preparation of food, as well as transportation to medical appointments.

Our aunt puts all her retirement income into our grandparents' account, and combining all three incomes to be able to afford caregivers and to maintain the home and pay all the household expenses. As time passes, the savings are dwindling, and additional unexpected expenses have often arisen. The most recent is their drainage field needs cleaning, costing over $6,150, as both toilets overflowed in less than 5 months apart even with having the septic tank cleaned. A recent trip to the ER via evac for our Grandfather was over $800. We've resubmitted the evac bill to insurance, hoping for some assistance.

Our goal is to comply with our grandparents' wish, which is to remain in their beloved home until the Lord sees fit to take them to their eternal home, and avoid any assisted care facilities.

The family takes turns in helping, but now we are in dire need of financial help.

We pray that anyone with the means and desire to help an elderly couple remain in their home, as is their wish, will help contribute.
